Greetings, my wicked darlings!
My word, it’s been a busy month, with Christmas coming soon too.
There have been some huge changes. It has taken a while to transition to the new model, but it is all looking enormously positive.
First, the TotM 4 book launch was a tremendous success. Thank you so much to Coffee and Wine for hosting and providing Trev, the murderous mascot from TotM 2. Thank you to everyone who attended. It was an absolute blast. Photos are below.
Second, I would like to thank my first paid subscribers. It means the world to me that you value my stories to that degree. I have some ghoulish crackers coming up for you this month. Yes, I know I am working on a novel, but as mentioned in a previous issue, I have produced a few extra shorts as well.
I also have five free eBooks available in the horror compilations below, so even if you are not in the paid tier, I have plenty of treats for you.
The eagle eyed among you will spot the prototypes of the TotM boxed set. This is a special production that will only be available to order direct as a physical copy or via Amazon as an eBook.
Speaking of Amazon, it has chosen to host TotM 1 as part of Kindle Select for the UK. A huge honour for me and a huge discount for you. For the whole of December, British bargain hunters will be able to pick it up for £0.99.
I have been researching ancient Mesopotamia and that has been a ton of fun. I know, I know. Less time researching and more time writing. I really wanted to get it right though. The furthest back in history that I usually go is to Roman times, so this was right outside of my comfort zone. I loved writing it. The Thing in the Silo will not be available for free for quite some time under the new system, with paid members getting early access.
I am not planning on a new collected works anytime soon, but we will see what happens in November next year. If I have enough short stories, it would be churlish not to publish them, and Tales of the Macabre has been an absolute hit. All four books hit number one in the Horror Anthology category in the US and UK during their respective releases.

Recommended Horror Books
I read five books in November. My top three were:
Satan’s Burnouts Must Die by David Sodergren. I rant about how much I love David’s work and I was on the verge of callously swearing at the man with this book. I got three hours’ sleep before my book launch because I could not put down this bloody, Tarantinoesque nightmare until I finished it.
Haunted: Perron Manor by Lee Mountford. I got through this in two days. I do not know why it has taken me so long to discover Lee. His writing is truly fantastic. It is both fast paced and wonderfully gothic. An unusual combination.
Haunted: Devil’s Door by Lee Mountford. The prequel fills in the blanks of Perron Manor. There is always a risk in writing a book where the audience knows the end, but Lee pulls it off magnificently.
