Back when I worked in an off license, I was told that all wine was better chilled, it was just that French wine makers didn't want to have to work in the cold, so they told everyone red wine should be room temperature! I've no idea if that's true 🙂
Ha! My personal opinion is that red wine should be room temperature, or slightly above to give it a decent nose. I like to lower down my snout and get a good old whiff of that boozy goodness.
