The Macabre Codex
The Girl in the Glass was published in Tales of the Macabre, Vol. 3.
This story was written in a day, when I sat in the corner of a pub on its opening day in North Greenwich. It was loosely based on a friend of mine who avoids mirrors.
From that concept, I asked myself why he might do that and exaggerated it considerably. He read the story and bought me Scotch afterwards, so I presume he forgave me.
I’ve previously mentioned my mental health issues, and this story certainly features them as paranoia and the escalating fear of undiagnosed anxiety.

Maybe your friend has a mirror phobia, i forget the name of it off the top of my head but ive covered it in one of my stories from my phobia horror series. People can also just be superstitious of them, believing them to be doorways where something could be looking in, my partner believes that.
Is it based on Toby? You should consider crediting him as your Muse :)
